Bone Marrow Donor Needed - Tikkun Olam / G'milut Chasidim Opportunity

Dear Beth Am Israel Friends,

A member of our local Jewish community is in a race for time and is seeking a bone marrow donor.

For a $54 charge, you can receive a cheek swab kit at home so you can easily and discretely participate in the search for a match.

The Swab Kit comes from Gift of Life, which is the only donor registry in North America dedicated to recruitment within the Jewish community,

If you are able, please consider going to http://www.giftoflife.org/ and registering to receive a kit.  The process takes about 10 minutes to fill out the questions.  On the fourth page, if you like, you can select which family you are trying to assist.  In this case, you could include:

I urge you to sign up for the national registry. As a bone marrow transplant recipient (and I'm not the only Beth Amer who is) there is no greater mitzvah than to "give a life." I have also worked on drives to find donor matches. I am happy to answer any questions about the process.
