July  1 – Andrew Cohn

Subject: “Clarifying What Works for You; Using Your Insights to Refine Your Focus and Find Your Best Fit Environment”, which is about identifying those environments/circumstances that work best for us as we consider job/work opportunities, and realistically and compassionately assessing strengths and weaknesses.

Andrew Cohn is the founder and principal of Lighthouse Consulting, LLC, an affiliate of Passages Consulting, and a Fellow with the Oxford Leadership Academy. For over 20 years he has worked globally as a consultant, organizational ombudsman, coach and facilitator for businesses and individuals.  Andrew’s work improves his clients’ business results and culture, and enhances individual performance and satisfaction.

Andrew has coached senior and mid-level leaders on a variety of issues including team leadership, performance management, interpersonal effectiveness, diversity and women’s leadership, conflict resolution, and work/life balance. He works with clients to overcome “right v. wrong” thinking in favor of “what works”, and he supports leaders in expanding their toolkits related to emotional intelligence, business strategy development and technical competence. He emphasizes awareness and personal

development as foundational to skill development and improved effectiveness.

Andrew brings clarity to complex problems. He helps focus leaders on what matters most and how to effectively act on it. Andrew works in a variety of settings; he has coached senior enterprise architects at a leading global health products corporation, forged alignment among senior pharmaceutical company leaders, taught leadership skills to global consumer products operations leaders building new supply chain

organizations, and consulted with financial services leaders regarding how to effectively manage and develop an increasingly diverse work force. Whatever the industry and objective, Andrew shares his focus, wisdom, and enthusiasm.

Clients have included Johnson & Johnson, Deloitte & Touche, KPMG, British Telecom, Vistakon, Ethicon Endo-Surgery, Edward Jones, Girl Scouts of the USA, and Hershey’s. He has also taught leadership, ethics, and conflict resolution at the MBA and undergraduate levels. 

Andrew practiced law for seven years in California prior to founding his organizational consulting firm in 1997. In addition to his Juris Doctorate he has a Masters Degree in Applied Psychology and a Bachelors Degree in International Relations. He lives in Pennsylvania with his wife and son.
