The Sounds of Beth Am Israel - Pesach 2009/5769

A Resource for Tefilah and the Spirit

Below you will find several tracks to inspire you while you get ready for Passover, whether you are cleaning, cooking, or procrastinating either of those activities. You may also wish to use this music during a lull in your seder or as the seder itself!

The first five tracks were recorded April 2nd, 2009 at Beth Am Israel during our "Freedom Concert", featuring "The Anointed Spirit" the fantastic Gospel Band from Zion Baptist, our own Beth Am Band with students in our Prozdor program, and the Unity Choir of Beth Am, Main Line Reform and Zion Baptist.

"Who Knows One" borrows a sample from the Pete Townshend song, "Face the Face" and has a strange hillbilly, who sounds remarkably like Harold Messinger singing an english hoedown version of the traditional song.

Finally, there is a "Passover Podcast" featuring several melodies, old and newish for your family to enjoy.

Chag Kasher v'Sameach!!

If possible, try not to get any hametz on the music.
