The month of Elul, the final Hebrew month in the Jewish Calendar is a time for self-reflection and self-examination. Special liturgy is added to our prayers, and special attention is given to how we treat ourselves and others.

Tune up for Tishrei: Lulav, Etrog, the 4 Species, Sukkah. Learn about their special significance and how they can add to a meaningful Sukkot celebration.
Shabbat Morning, September 21, 9:00 am:
“Ally-ship” as Spiritual Practice with Rabbi Mike Moskowitz, a deeply traditional and radically progressive advocate for trans rights and a vocal ally for LGBTQ inclusivity.
Saturday Night, September 21, 6:00 pm:
As part of Seudah Sh’lishit (the traditional third meal of Shabbat), Rabbi Moskowitz will facilitate a discussion on the challenge of ‘Expanding the “We” for Rosh Hashanah’. Rabbi Moskowitz’s teaching will lead us into Havdalah (approximately 7:45 pm) and Selihot (8 – 9:30 pm).
7:45 pm Havdallah followed by Slichot Service with Music, Prayer, Learning and Mindfulness led by Rabbi David, Hazzan Harold and members of our Spirituality Working Group.
