Elul Offerings

The month of Elul, the final Hebrew month in the Jewish Calendar is a time for self-reflection and self-examination. Special liturgy is added to our prayers, and special attention is given to how we treat ourselves and others. 

Join us throughout the month of September/Elul to sing, pray, study, be still and connect.

Lay-led minyan

Wednesdays, Shacharit and Song, 9:00 am:

The weekday morning service- sing, breath and stretch through the morning service with Hazzan Harold. Livestream available.

Thursdays, Thursday Morning Tefillah 9:00 am:

A new weekly offering featuring prayer, mindfulness practice and Torah.

Sunday, September 15, 8:00 pm:

Music Prayer Lab, Elul Edition- Join a group of dedicated musicians, pray-ers, and fellow travelers  who are all interested in the collaboration of prayer, music making and intentional community.

Thursday, September 19, 7:00 pm:

Tune up for Tishrei: Lulav, Etrog, the 4 Species, Sukkah. Learn about their special significance and how they can add to a meaningful Sukkot celebration.

Shabbat Morning, September 21, 9:00 am:

“Ally-ship” as Spiritual Practice with Rabbi Mike Moskowitz, a deeply traditional and radically progressive advocate for trans rights and a vocal ally for LGBTQ inclusivity.

Saturday Night, September 21, 6:00 pm:

As part of Seudah Sh’lishit (the traditional third meal of Shabbat), Rabbi Moskowitz will facilitate a discussion on the challenge of  ‘Expanding the “We” for Rosh Hashanah’.  Rabbi Moskowitz’s teaching will lead us into Havdalah (approximately 7:45 pm) and Selihot (8 – 9:30 pm).

7:45 pm Havdallah followed by Slichot Service with Music, Prayer, Learning and Mindfulness led by Rabbi David, Hazzan Harold and members of our Spirituality Working Group.
